Lineage:
The information in this data set is based on the survey accurate ACT cadastral boundaries. The road boundaries were created by adopting everything which fell outside of a defined block as road. These boundaries were then verified against historical gazettal records. At the data of enactment of the proposed legislation this database will become the legal definition of public roads in the ACT
Positional accuracy:
All data is held in ACT Co-ordinates which are planar co-ordinates based on a false origin at Mt Stromlo of 200000/600000. These co-ordinates can be converted into other formats if required
Attribute accuracy:
This database has attribution showing time / date of creation or modification of each entity in the database. All entities will have at least an attribute of 1 July 1994 (the date of initial use of this attribute). Dates after this will indicate the actual time and date of creation of the entity in the database.
Logical Consistency:
The data is run through a suite of data checking and verification programs before being loaded into the database. These programs check cleaness, completeness, presence of appropriate attributes and a number of other parameters. The database is not topologically structured
Completeness:
80% complete and being maintained in anticipation of the passing of a new ACT Government Public Roads Act
