Lineage:

The first data was collected in 1996 approx for Namadgi National Park. Since then TNR was collected in 1998 approx and CNP units have been collected at a rate of about 4 reserves per year. After the fires of 2003 data collection was speeded up and in Nov 2003 only 4 units were still to be collected. Data has been progressively updated as new data has been collected. Googong Foreshores data was first collected in 2003.

Positional accuracy:

plus or minus 5 metres

Attribute accuracy:

The 16 categories Report accompanies survey undertaken to collect resource data (climate, geology, soils, landscape, existing land use and erosion attributes).Maps of erosion attributes, existing land use, landscape and soils have been produced from data collected. The purpose of the report is to; - obtain information on the distribution of physical resources. - identify existing forms of land use. - identify existing areas of erosion and land use practices which are causing erosion and sedimentation. - to assist in decisions regarding land use. - to identify physical limitations which exclude certain land uses. Other land resource surveys have been completed for Guises Creek, Huntley, Jerrabomberra, Paddy's River, Pine Ridge, West Belconnen, Woden Creek and Woolshed Creek.
