Abstract:
This dataset shows the areas where dogs are permitted to be exercised off lease and areas where dogs are completely prohibited. This data is used to produce a set of maps referenced by ACT legislation.

The dog exercise areas were defined following consultation with land managers in the urban areas of the ACT. The polygons were generated within ESRI ArcVIEW using CUPP's Urban Open Space and Sportsground datasets, Environment ACT's reserve dataset and the ACTPLA cadastre. The dog exercise maps will go out for public consultation in November 2003. Following comment, the dataset will be edited to reflect the required changes.
