Abstract:
MapInfo Australia is the custodian of the StreetPro series of data sets. These are based on PSMA data, which is based on data provided by a range of jurisdictions across Australia. This data set is a slightly modified version of the features in the original StreetPro Display data set covering the ACT. This version has been created to complement other data, which together forms the Corporate Geographic Database under the GIM Strategy. The CGD creates a fully homogeneous and integrated set of core geographic information over the ACT which uses Oracle SDO. The CGD is a read only Oracle spatial database hosted within the ACT Government's production computing environment and is capable of being directly read by most GIS software. The CGD stores data in both the ACT Stromlo Projection and MGA94 projection for Zone55. This data set includes the following attributes: Features_ID, Name, Type, AS4584, SW_Code, SP_UFI, Category, ANZLIC_ID, Source_ANZLIC_ID, Feature_Type_Code, Create_Date, Feature_Instance_Metadata_ID.

This data is held under license from MapInfo Australia. This license permits use within the context of the GIM Strategy. The Corporate Geographic Database has been compiled as a part of the ACT Geographic Information Management Strategy. Community access data sets in the database are available for internal use by agencies in the ACT Government, including presentation through ACT Government web sites. Use outside of this should be approved by the custodian of the source data (MapInfo Australia).
Lineage:
The data set was initially compiled by PSMA and then subsequently enhanced by MapInfo Australia. The user should refer to the metadata statement ANZQL0002900074 for details on this processing. To integrate it into the CGD, the GIM Unit converted it from a MapInfo TAB file into Oracle, retaining the original attributes and adding those common to all CGD data sets. An additional attribute was added to enable easy classification into 5 categories as follows: Community/Shops (AS4584 codes 3211, 3212, 3213, 4611, 4612, 4680, 4914, 4920, 7000, 4913) Education (AS4584 codes 4510, 4511, 4512, 4513, 4514, 4515, 4516) Health/Welfare (AS4584 codes 1220, 4521, 4523, 4530, 4563) Sport/Recreation (AS4584 codes 1330, 4630, 4631, 4632, 4634, 4636, 4637, 4638, 4640, 4651, 4653, 4674) Government/Transport (AS4584 codes 4410, 4415, 4420, 4561, 4562, 8118, 8133, 8141, 8142, 8361, 8412).
