Abstract:
This layer was created by the GIM Unit in the ACT Government to enable the display and recording of map sheet details of the NSW Department of Land & Property Information 1:25,000 map series over the ACT. It has been created to the specification agreed to as a part of the GIM Strategy and included in the Corporate Geographic Database (CGD) created under that strategy. The CGD creates a fully homogeneous and integrated set of core geographic information which uses Oracle SDO. The CGD is a read only Oracle spatial database hosted within the ACT Government's production computing environment and is capable of being directly read by most GIS software. The CGD stores data in both the ACT Stromlo Projection and MGA94 projection for Zone55. This data set includes the following attributes: Map_Sheet_ID (a persistent identifier), Map_Name, Map_Number, Edition, Production_Year, Scale, Horizontal_Datum, Vertical_Datum, Coordinate_System, ANZLIC_ID, Source_ANZLIC_ID, Feature_Type_Code, Create_Date, Area and Feature_Instance_Metadata_ID.

Access constraints:
The Corporate Geographic Database has been compiled as a part of the ACT Geographic Information Management Strategy. Community access data sets in the database are available for internal use by agencies in the ACT Government, including presentation through ACT Government web sites. This data set is classified as Community Access.
Lineage:
This data set has been created by entering the coordinates which represent the bounding extent of each of the map sheets into an Excel spreadsheet. This was then read through a .csv file into ArcInfo using the Generate command. From this an Arc file was created which was built and cleaned for polygons. The coverage was then converted into a Shape file and the required attribute data was then added and verified based on information provided by ACTLIC. This Shape file was then converted to Oracle Spatial using a Shape import to FME. The ACT Stromlo projection was assigned and further verification was performed. Positional accuracy:
The data has a positional accuracy of better than 0.1m. The Z value is not stored.
Attribute accuracy:
The attributes are estimated to be correct at the 95% confidence level or better.
Logical Consistency:
The data is logically consistent.
Completeness:
Only the map sheets which cover the extent of the Australian Capital Territory are included in the data set. NOTE: The attributes of Source_ANZLIC_ID, Feature_Type_Code and Feature_Instance_Metadata_ID have not been populated.
